Privacy Policy — Whispers of Faith

This Privacy Policy describes how the Whispers of Faith mobile app (“the App”), developed by Yury Gaudard, handles information when you use it.
Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal contact details directly through the App.
The App uses Firebase (a service provided by Google) to help deliver content and keep the App running smoothly. Depending on which Firebase services are active, this may include:
- Usage and diagnostic data — such as which screens are viewed, general device information (device model, operating system version), and app performance data, collected automatically through Firebase Analytics.
- Crash and error reports — technical data collected automatically if the App encounters an error, to help us fix problems, via Firebase Crashlytics.
This data is collected in a form that does not directly identify you personally.
Content Displayed in the App
The App displays content pulled from public sources, including:
- YouTube videos, via YouTube’s public RSS feed for the Whispers of Faith channel
- Podcast episodes, via a public RSS feed hosted by MyPodOps
- Blog articles, from the Whispers of Faith website
Viewing this content may cause your device to connect directly to YouTube’s or MyPodOps’s servers. We encourage you to review YouTube/Google’s Privacy Policy for information on how they handle data.
Store Link
The App’s Store tab links out to our Payhip storefront in your device’s browser. Any purchase you make there is handled entirely by Payhip, not by the App. Please review Payhip’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your information.
How We Use Information
Any data collected through Firebase is used only to:
- Understand how the App is used, so we can improve it
- Identify and fix technical problems and crashes
- Ensure the App’s content (blog, podcast, and video feeds) loads correctly
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data Sharing
We do not share collected data with third parties, other than the service providers named above (Google Firebase, YouTube, MyPodOps, Payhip) who process it on our behalf to make the App function.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect any information processed through the App, relying on the security measures provided by Google Firebase’s infrastructure.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
You can limit the analytics data collected by the App through your device’s privacy settings (for example, by limiting ad tracking or app usage data in your Android settings).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
